Maximus - Gaius Julius Verus Maximus (AD 216 - 238) - Son of Maximinus I and Paulina.

Mints: Rome.

Biography: After his successes against the Germans in 235, Maximinus accepted the title Germanicus Magnus and elevated his on Maximus to the rank of Caesar and Prince of Youth, issuing coins in his name and that of his own deceased, deified wife Caecilia Paulina. He perished along with his father when the disgruntled soldiers fell upon then in May 238 as they were having their siesta and murdered them.
